I have been a pediatrician in southern California for 25 years, and received my education and training at the University of Southern California Medical School and Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center. My wife and I raised 3 sons, who are now all in their twenties and pursuing life activities on the east coast of the US and in Vancouver. I grew up one of eleven children (a rarity in Los Angeles),and gained a unique perspective about children’s health as it relates to family and social connections. During my career I have served as chief of pediatrics of our local hospital, lead doctor in a community clinic, and worked extensively in rural areas of Mexico and central America. Seeing young people grow and develop into healthy adults is the most rewarding life’s work I can imagine. I enjoy traveling and camping with family and friends, walking our two dogs, and working in the garden. It is a privilege for me and my family to relocate to beautiful British Columbia. I look forward to my next chapter of providing evidence-based, compassionate care to children and families in the greater Vancouver area.
